Boondocker’s Ball

We welcome everyone to join us at the Second Annual Boondocker’s Ball in Okeechobee, FL, March 2-9, 2026. We chose these dates because the upcoming Lunar Eclipse (Blood Moon) on March 3rd from 3:44 am – 9:22 am. The full moon starts on Tuesday morning at 6:38 am.

Celebration of this celestial event will be on Tuesday night to help usher in the Blood Moon. We will be having a potluck feast, music and drumming. Throughout the week we will be hosting workshops and discussions along with potlucks, games and much more.

The land we will be on is owned by the B1 Foundation. They have graciously allowed us to hold the Boondocker’s Ball with the agreement that we will be donating a portion of the proceeds to them for aiding in the properties growth. B1’s vision is to turn the land into an electric permaculture learning and event center.

The cost of this event is only $30/day/vehicle with a limit of 4 persons per rig. Day tickets will be available for $10 each. Solo Nomads can register for $15/day with the coupon code SOLOBALL.

Full Stay attendees who register in advance may also show up on Monday, March 2, 2026 for a free day stay so as to be on property for optimal viewing of the Blood Moon from 3:44 am – 9:22 am. The full moon starts on Tuesday morning at 6:38 am.

There is no electricity, dump station or trash collection available at the Boondocker’s Ball. We will have Port-o-lets on site. There is well water on site (I am checking on the potability). This is a pack it in, pack it out event. We will have workshops and discussions relating specifically to boondocking and dry camping.
